This policy explains what information Bowsr ("we", "us") collects when you use the Bowsr app, and how we use it.

Information we collect

Bowsr uses your device's location to find fuel stations near you and to power features like nearby price alerts. Location data is used to serve requests to our servers and is not sold to third parties.

If you enable push notifications, we store a device token so we can send you price-drop alerts for locations you've chosen to follow.

We do not require you to create an account, and we do not collect your name, email address, or payment details through the app.

How we use information

Location and device data are used to provide app functionality: showing nearby stations, fuel prices, price history, and sending alerts you've opted into. We don't share this data with data brokers.

Data retention

Location queries are used to serve the request and are not retained beyond what's needed for that purpose. Device tokens are kept for as long as notifications remain enabled and are deleted if you disable them or uninstall the app.

Third parties

Fuel price data is sourced from public government fuel-price feeds (e.g. Queensland and New South Wales fuel price reporting schemes). We don't share your personal data with these or any other third party.

The app uses Google AdMob to show ads. AdMob may collect device identifiers and usage data to deliver and measure ads; we don't personalize ads based on your activity elsewhere. See Google's Privacy Policy for details on what Google collects.

Children's privacy

Bowsr is not directed at children and we do not knowingly collect data from children.

We may update this policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated date above.
